FAQ's
Do
the dogs like what they do?
Although
they can't answer when asked, just wait until you see the high energy
barking before take-off and the happy smiles throughout the ride.
Then, you can decide if the dogs like what they do. We already
know the answer!
How
many people can fit in our sleds?
Depending
on trail conditions, we can fit a family of four, or three to four
adults, depending on weight. If your group is larger than this, we
MAY be able to schedule two sleds at the same hour, depending on our
staging area. (Mammoth Mountain staging area allows only one sled at one
time)
Is
the ride safe for handicapped/pregnant/injured people?
Yes,
we cater to all people. Our sleds move slow, are very stable, and
therefore the ride is very safe. We can assist with any special
needs, just give us advanced notice if you need assistance.
Do
we accept advanced reservations?
Yes,
however, only up to 7 days in advance. This gives us a chance to
look at weather trends, and trail conditions.
Are
children safe around the dogs?
Absolutely!
Our dogs love to be petted. They are handled by hundreds of people
as puppies, allowing them to get accustomed to being around all sizes of
people. We do recommend parents keep a close watch on small
children, as the sheer size and strength of the dogs can knock a child
over if the dog leans or moves suddenly.
Do
we accept credit cards?
No,
unfortunately not! We work from a remote location, and do not have
the means to accept credit card payments. We gladly accept
Travelers Checks, Personal Checks or Cash!
What
can we do if we come in the summertime?
Come
check out our Kennel!! Meet all the dogs at their houses, and
experience our museum and art gallery. Click HERE
for directions to our kennels. Contacting us in advance is advised
to ensure someone is there to meet you and give you a tour.
OR
If
interested, during cooler temperatures in Spring and Fall we offer
wheeled cart rides with our sled dogs. This way you can experience
