OVERNIGHT ADVENTURE

The Ultimate Sierra Experience

*Only available January, March and April (snow permitting)*

Mammoth Dog Teams and Owner Jim Ouimet are now offering overnight camping into the Sierra Backcountry via dog sled. Each trip is a unique HANDS-ON experience tailored to the individual's skill level. Participants are given their own dog team, sled/cart and camping gear.

Upon arrival at camp you may decide to choose from a variety of activities. Snowshoeing, skijorring and cooking classes are offered along with short dog sledding side trips. Jim also provides expert and knowledgeable instruction in winter survival techniques and dog care.

You will be expected to feed, water and care for your team while on the trip, as instructed by your trip leaders.

In the evening, a hot, hearty meal is prepared for you. Mammoth Dog Teams is well known for its delicious food and lumberjack sized portions. All meals and beverages along with hot and cold snacks are provided. You will choose your MENU selections prior to the trip. PLEASE let us know in advance of any special dietary requirements you may have.

In the morning, following breakfast, you will break down camp and mush your team back to the staging area and return to the kennel.

Each Adult Package Includes:

• Expert and Thorough Instruction 
• Your own team of 3-6 trained sled dogs 
• Your own sled/cart (depending on season) 
• All gear necessary for your team 
• Camping Gear (tent, stove, sleeping bag) 
• Dinner upon arrival at camp 
• Breakfast next morning 
• Plentiful hot/cold snacks

***A non-refundable 50% deposit is due two (2) weeks prior to your trip. The remaining balance is collected the day of departure. Space is limited to four (4) adults and up to two (2) children. Open-ended rain checks will be issued in the event of inclement weather.***

Please Note: Mushing is a sport requiring strength and aerobic stamina in a high altitude environment. You MUST let us know of any physical limitations you may have as a Doctor's release may be necessary.
